I had the pleasure of speaking at a seminar for aspiring and new female entrepreneurs with a panel of amazing ladies. It was so much fun!
Each speaker brought their own unique voice and shared so much great content.
I was super excited to be there and to share my story and branding tips.
I truly believe that it’s important for you to be yourself and let your personality shine through in your brand’s identity.
For some reason the night before the seminar I was going back and forth about what I wanted to wear to the event.
I chose a basic dress with a few accessories and it was ok but it didn’t feel like me.
As you can tell I like to wear things that pop and that are fashionable. I decided to go with my intuition and wore my tutu, leather jacket and a fabulous necklace and leopard flats.
Now why am I sharing this?
Once I put the outfit on I felt comfortable, free and one hundred percent myself. At the event I was able to truly represent my brand with my signature style and my personality.
As a result of that, I was not only able to connect with the amazing women at the event but I also met the co-owner of the one and only Christian Fashion Week and she invited me to speak at one of the events going on during the week.
I’m thrilled for the opportunity and that the owner of the event was able to spot my tutu from across the room.
It’s important for your brand to have its own signature style and identity. That’s what will set you apart from others. You want to be seen as the go to gal but also as the stylish professional that you are.
Here are three reasons why you should infuse your personality into your brand:
1. It makes you relatable.
We all want to feel like we are a part of something. No matter what you do it’s important for you to infuse your personality into your brand because people are buying from you and not your logo. Your brand’s story and the message needs to connect with your dream clients. A brand is worthless if it doesn’t connect with its target market in the right way. So, if you are a happy, fun, spunky person. Some of that goodness needs to be infused in your brand.
2. It sets you apart from the crowd and makes you irresistible.
Think about it! With all of the competition out there everyone is trying to be the next big thing. It’s your job to set yourself apart from the rest. What better way to do that than being yourself and sharing your gifts in your own way? Nobody can share your gifts like you do. Do the opposite of what your competition is doing. I believe that nothing is really new in the world. We’re sharing that knowledge in our own way. Being yourself makes you client attractive.
3. You have more fun.
Yes, you read that right. Trying to keep up with the Joneses is so exhausting. It’s time to break some rules and do what works for you and your business. When you’re clear and confident about how you want to show up in the world and your brand’s purpose nothing else matters. Your focus will be on how you can serve your clients better.
Building a brand doesn’t have to be hard if you are being yourself.
Whenever you feel lost or you feel like you’re not like the competition ask yourself the following.
How do I want to show up in the world?
Is this (insert what you want ex: project) aligned with my brand’s message and purpose?
